Alec Slade is central to Excalibur Engineering, with 25 years experience working for the market leaders before setting up his own dedicated Aston Martin workshop over 10 years ago. With a small supporting team, and our own paint shop around the corner, we carry out three to four Aston Martin restorations every year whilst also servicing numerous DB7, V8 and early David Brown cars.

At Excalibur Engineering you are not paying for corporate and advertising costs, you are paying solely for expertise, tooling and work carried out competently on your Aston Martin. This may be something you think you get everywhere but this is sadly not the case.

Alec carries out inspections of your Aston Martin in your presence so he can show you his findings. He will then discuss your options and suggest a schedule of works for your consideration. For over 10 years our business has survived on word of mouth referrals alone with many of our projects competing well at Concours competitions. All work is guaranteed, subject to terms and conditions.

What we specialise in:

Half of our work is carried out on underside restorations. The rest of our time is split between full Aston Martin restorations, servicing and modifications. We mostly work on DB7 models but specialising in post war DB4, DB5 and DB6 cars is where Alec really excels.
